Making The Face
1: Moisturize and apply a light-coloured liquid foundation to the face and neck.Dust with a translucent powder.
2: Brush eyebrows with a brown eyeshadow and then natural arch with a brown eyebrow liner.
3: Apply a sandy-coloured eyeshadow all over the eye area up to the eyebrow.Then use a brown shadow on the lid only,blending well.
4: Line the top lash-line with black liquid eyeliner,sweeping gently out at the corners.Brush over a charcoal eyeshadow to soften.
5: Curl the lashes if necessary.Apply three coats of mascara to top lashes,sweeping diagonally throught.
6: Use a dark pink blusher to give the cheekbones more definition.Brush up toward the hairline.
7: Outline the lips with a red lip-liner and fill in with a strong red matt lipstick.Blot with a tissue and reapply colour.
STYLING TIPS
#Do not compromise on the strong red listick-a lighter colour would draw attention away from the mouth and make the eyes look heavy.
#Always allow mascara to dry between coats or you will not be able to build up rnought colour.
#if you use a concealer,make sure it blends with the base.
#For extra impact,wear clothes with a 1940's feel,such as an elegant fitted suit,or a simple twinset and A-line skirt or frock.Clip-on earrings or a simple pearl necklace will add to the overall effect.
#If you do not have naturally wavy hair,try curling it with tongs and then brushing throught to leave a gentle wave.
